What are the health benefits?

Fibre is a carbohydrate that aids in digestion, helps you feel full, regulates blood sugar and lowers cholesterol and thus the risk of heart diseases and stroke.

What is the recommended intake?

The Recommended Dietary Allowance (RDA) for carbohydrates for children and adults is at least 130 g per day and not more than 300 g. Women should try to eat at least 21 to 25 g of fibre a day, while men should aim for 30 to 38 g a day.
