What are the health benefits?
Fats help give your body energy, protect your organs, support cell growth, keep cholesterol and blood pressure under control and help your body absorb vital nutrients such as Vitamin A, D, and K. While industry-made trans fats are bad, unsaturated fats do have certain health benefits. Omega-3 fatty acids may help prevent and even treat heart disease and stroke. In addition to reducing blood pressure, raising HDL, and lowering triglycerides, polyunsaturated fats (omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids) may help prevent lethal heart rhythms from arising.

Fatty fish, chia seeds, olives, nuts, sesame oil, olive oil, pumpkin seeds and whole eggs.
What is the recommended intake?
Under no circumstances should the calories derived from fat exceed 30% i.e. more than 80 g per day considering you eat 2,000 calories a day.
